Hi Gman5, the email you receive will have the originators address of [email protected].
Make sure your computer's junk filters allow this address through

Sweaty bum time here. 27th May interviewed so could hear anytime from now onwards.

If London wait times are similar to Belfast, then the front of the wave of decisions is just about rolling through my date.

Travel plans for xmas period (no flights yet booked), so fingers crossed!

This thread has been a super useful resource - thanks!

The wait times are the same - currently between 7-8 months. Unfortunately, there's no way to find out how many people are still in line ahead of you.

Good luck, but I honestly think it's not going to happen for you.

Thanks for the good luck wishes but yes, Im not expecting it. If it comes it will be a bonus. Wife and kid have ticket already to go without me, which obviously sucks, being xmas and all, but hey, nothing I can do to change things.

Looking at the belfast list, it does say that some applications made 18th of may changed to "send passport" on the 4th November. They update that list weekly (why London doesnt publish similar I don't know), so expect the front of the wave to change to to 25th May --> 11th November when it next updates. There seem to be a fair number of waiver cases over the past few months that cleared in 6 to 6.5 months, unless Im misunderstanding that document (I dont think I am..)

Part of the problem is that it's not a linear process. While cases may start processing in the order received, they're often not completed that way. Since all decisions are made in the US, it doesn't really matter which Consulate sends them the case file. At one time, decisions were made at the Consulate level but people complained about the inconsistency... so now all decisions are consistently made - in the US.

That could well be true... but you still don't know how many people are in line ahead of you. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if there was a 2-week period, for example, where more applications than usual were received, they're going to throw that entire timeline off! Processing times, historically, have never gotten faster... they've only slowed down.

Attended interview on May 13. Passed 26 week mark on Wednesday (11). Sadly have a holiday booked for December so cutting it very fine. I don't suppose anyone with a May interview has heard back from the embassy yet?

Seems like a few May folks waiting, be nice if we can update if anyone hears news. Good luck!

Will certainly drop a message when I hear back. We wrongfully assumed that when the embassy said it'll take six months, that it would take up to six months. therefore we moved our holiday from august to december to accommodate. it looks like most were coming back around the six month mark until recently, now most people seem to be getting given the time scale seven/eight months - according to this thread anyway.

Yes, the 7/8 months seems pretty common in terms of timelines. But there is quite a bit of variance around that, so you never really can be sure.
