No I-94 when exiting USA

Hi, my relative is to leave the U.S. before she can receive her B-2 extension
approval from the INS. Since we mailed in the original I-94, she won't be able to
surrender it when leaving.

What do we need to do to show that she didn't overstay this time, in case she needs
to come to the U.S. in the future?

Appreciate your input. Thanks.
