NIW (EB2) timeline
Aloha, all
I filed NIW this may via CA INS. Got Request for Evidence (RFE) letter this
Oct.
I will respond the RFE by Dec 25 this year. How long usually for the CA INS to
decide my case after they receive my response to RFE? If approved, how long
will it take from approval to being able to work legally.
I work on OPT that expires next May. Should I do something to make sure I can
work legally by that time?
Appreciate any information.
Thanks

Look into getting an H-1 a few months before OPT expires. If the NIW is
rejected or delayed, you won't be out in the cold...
