Default Naturalization interview

Does anybody know whether the Civics tests during the naturalization interview are
likely to be verbal or multiple choice? Also, any recommendations for prep courses?

Thanks...

They are verbal. There is a list of 100 sample questions on the INS website. My
family of 3 persons went through the process. It seems that the INS interviewer's
computer randomly chooses 10 questions from the 100 samples to ask You are then
verbally asked the questions. Then they make you read a sentence. Then they make you
write a sentence.

All very easy. Just study the 100 questions and know them and you'll do well.

Marcia: the procedure seems to vary from office to office. An experience from the INS
sub office where I should be attending my interview, says that it was a written test
with 30 questions. Others say 5-10 verbal questions. The overall opinion is "very
easy". Here's a link with experiences across the board:
http://www.kamya.com/intro/natexp.html You should have got the 100 sample questions
with your copy of the "Guide to Naturalization". Anway here is a link:
http://www.kamya.com/intro/natexp.html As other posters have indicated, they are also
available on the INS website. Hope this helps, Ranjini

RickQ is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Naturalization interview

My wife and I have just been to the Detroit INS office and while we were there we picked up a booklet called "A guide to Naturalization". It contains 96 sample questions as well as other information and an FAQ about the process.

BestGirl asked me the questions while we were waiting to be seen and I got about 80-85% of them right with no study. They are not too hard (although she was impressed I knew some of them)
