NAFTA and degree requirements
Does anyone know how specific degrees need to be for the TN Visa?
My boyfriend (an American citizen) has just received a job offer for an administrative/counselling position at a university in Canada. His employers really want him to work for them, so they're willing to write the job offer stressing the vocational counselling aspect, as vocational counsellor is one of the 63 jobs approved for the TN visa. The requirement listed is just a bachelor's degree, which he has. But the fine print says it has to be in a program of similarity to the job. His degree is in History. Will this be a problem?
Thanks
