In our AOS interview today in columbus, they told us after an hour of
waiting that our file has not been received from missouri. They said
they checked again today and the file was not sent.

Is that common or are they playing games with me?

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Anything I can do?

Any help is appreciated.

I believe Rete had a somewhat similar experience which was eventually resolved--on Kamya website under NY-Rita and Jim--perhaps she'll respond.

This type of thing seems to happen occasionally. Did they give you a time framework for when they might have it? If it goes for a long time, involve your congressperson.

From what I have been seeing on these boards in the last few years, I'd say it happens. Things get misplaced, lost, or not forwarded on time. Hopefully they will all sort it out soon!

So what did they saythe next steps are? You did ask them 'what next' right????

No games here. Yes, it happened to us. Apparently they need the original file (not the copy of the original file) in order to adjudicate your petition for adjustment.

What we did was write to the head of the district office with a whimsical letter involving our walk on the yellow brick road and that got us instant results. If you remember the name of your DAO I suggest you write her directly about a month from now inquiring as to the whereabouts of your file and when a new interview date will be set.

they said they will request them again to send it to them and it could
take few weeks but if we didn't hear anything up to 6 weeks then get an
infopass and find out.

I guess I have to wait to see what happens
