Mexico on Tourist Visa
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if my fiancee and I can go to Mexico on a Tourist Visa?
Also, how about on a Fiancee Visa?
Thanks!

That would be depend on whether or not a visa is normally required for
her to visit Mexico. Having US Permanent Resident status usually makes a
difference, but a fiance visa or tourist visa won't.

Frank,
If she is still in Russia, she will have to check and see what the
requirements are for a Russian to travel to Mexico. Just contact the
Mexican Embassy in Moscow (Bolshoi Levshinski Pereulok No 4 Moscow
119034 [email protected]) and they will be able to provide the
details. As for you, if you are a US citizen, you just need your
passport and a photo ID and a couple of bottles of tequila (just
kiddin')
If she is already here in the USA on a K1, then forget it. If she
leaves the country without an Advance Parole document, then she
technically abandons the K1 and you will have to start over.

I didn't realize she was Russian. In her case she would need to apply in
advance through a Mexican Consulate for a tourist visa. It would be
less painful to go to Jamaica, mon. In Jamaica, Russians just have to
get a visa at the airport. Of course, she would still need to meet the
visa requirements of any country she might have to transit through,
although in many cases, transit without visa or with an easy
(relatively)to get transit visa would be all that is needed.
