Confused again!! HELP!!!
Hi again,
Yes I am still unclear about this whole vaccination thing. I just got
off the phone with someone in a similar situation as I am in. He filed his
AOS in Boston about a week before I did (also a K-1) and was not told that
he needed a vaccine supplement form. He was told by the immigration officer
that since everything was submitted before that his medical was all set. So
now I am confused again. Could someone who has been through this before
please give me some advice. My husband did have a medical examination
before coming here. All of that information is in the envelope that he
handed in when he arrived, as expected. The I-693 instructions say that
those on a K-1 visa don't need to get another medical exam, but need
documentation of immunization. The paper given to us with an interview date
says to bring a medical examination report (if not previously submitted).
Ours was previously submitted, but he circled it. ( It is possible that he
doesn't know that K-1's already have theirs submitted because there were
alot of things he was unclear on during our filing.) But so far from
speaking to this person and reading other's experiences on the web, I have
not heard of anyone actually getting this done and turning it in. So what I
want to know, is based on the experience of anyone out there who has
recently (within the last year) been through the AOS interview (preferably
in Boston, but I will accept anywhere), do we need to bother with this form?
Any information will be much appreciated. This whole thing is beginning to
drive me crazy.
Thanks once again,
Lili
