medical exam address in London
I'm trying to organise in advance how I'm gonna do things on the day of my interview.
I live just outside london so am trying to figure travel arrangements.
I looked round the embassy website but couldn't find the address of where you go for
the medical. Is it always the same place or do they use different surgery's?
If it is the same could someone let me know what the address is.
Thankyou very much

Re: medical exam address in London
It seems to be the same one.
Dr Michael Phelan
53 Great Cumberland Place
When you receive Packet 4 with your interview date
and details, there will be a full map and instructions.
The Embassy seem to divide everyone into 2 groups.
Example: My interview is on the 10th July.
People with surnames A-H go to the medical first at 8am
and then the embassy at noon.
People with surnames I-Z go to the embassy first at 8am
and then go straight to the medical.
I'm not sure if this is standard procedure, but those I are
the instructions I have received.
Good luck

All K-1's have to go straight to the medical first.

Re: medical exam address in London
My interview is on the 8th of July and as far as I can see from the paperwork they
sent, I too have to go to the medical at 08:00. The letter shows two appointments (1
for visa appointment and 1 for the medical). They both show the same day, and time,
except that the visa appointment time is scribbled out, so I guess that means I will
go from my medical, then to my visa appointment. This is as I have seen posted on
this newsgroup.
For anyone who may be in the same position, I had received NOTHING at all from the
embassy until this packet. I sent the docs in early (all except my final checklist
because I had no case number to put on it) to get a file opened. It was only by
calling the embassy and being told that I could send in the checklist I managed to
get this appointment, EXACTLY 2 weeks, after I sent in the final checklist. The
operator told me just to put my receipt number in place of the case number on the
checklist.
8th of July is going to be an early start from down in Kent, and hopefully a late
finish with slightly more alcohol in me than there was at the medical All being
well a flight to Philly will follow on the 11th.
