INS view of unemployment??

Hi
My husband works for a dotcom company and we are worried about his job with the current
wave of layoffs. He is pending AOS and I am a US Citizen. Can he collect unemployment if
he gets laid off or is this considered public assistance and will ultimately hurt our
chances of successful AOS? Anyone out there with experience in this matter?
