I thought you said this wasn't about revenge! You said, "it is not a matter of revenge for me." You can't have it both ways.

You feel hurt, embarrased, humiliated, angry, and a host of other emotions! This is normal. Admit this to yourself and you'll be a lot better off. You want revenge... plain an simple. She hurt you and now you want to hurt her back in the way you think will make the most impact - denying her a family reunion.

It's not necessarily wrong or bad... it's just the way it is. But you should, at least, be honest with yourself.

The Canadian government should want revenge against the sponsor. I bet that if the Canadian government suspected that she was scamming him prior to the issuance of the immigrant visa and denied it, he would have raised hell about the denial and separation of his family.

This is very common. I've seen two CR1 (still within the initial 2 years) in the US married to each other with the 4 year old kid they had together.

If I were you, I would do more than just stay in defensive position.
Bu that, I mean, I would see whether I can sue her for using me to
enter Canada via marraige. But, if you really hit her or something and
she didn't take it and is doing this, you'd better not have a history
of physical violence with anyone who would come out and speak against
you. Personally, I am wondering why she is so quick to file these
charges against you. It seems like she knows the laws and is trying to
play for her benefit.

Do not even refer to her as "wife" anymore since it's obvious that her
intention was anything but realmarraige.

Did you know for sure that "Mark" is NOT of Indian ethinicity?

Hey,

I just remember something. A son of a family friend of us married a
woman that they didn't really know well. Our family friend were very
good people. They were once very wealthy and educated family but after
nationalization in post-independence, like us they were discriminated.
As were the case with some family, it was a severe blow to them such
that the children ended up not making to college which in turn limited
their choice for marraige from families that were from similar
backgorund as them. This younger son was so good to the parent, instaed
of getting married at young age, he established a career, supported the
parent and then let her mother find a woman for him.

They went and stayed at a hotel on the wedding night. The next morning,
she was gone with all the jewelries. (I heard this form my brother
when I visited home.) I knew him personally. He accompanied me in a
trip to a government office to handle a re dtape. He was such a good
looking hunk - mixed with Arab, English and some native blood - that my
girlfriend who was with me was dying to get his attention ..

Poor guy. I wonder what he's doing now.

The UK has not. There is a 2 year period (previously 1 year) before
indefinite leave can be granted on the basis of marriage, unless the
couple were already married and living together for 2(?) years before
entering the UK, so it is the same in many ways as the US system. There
are, of course, differences. Anybody settled in the UK, not just
citizens can sponsor their spouse, and people generally don't know that
the 2 year's leave to remain as a spouse normally leads to permanent
residence, which may cause problems when dealing with employers or
trying to get a mortgage.

I am not fully sure why she filed a domestic violence case against me.
Many immigration lawyers are also puzzled by this, as it is normally
not the case.

I believe that her sisters and parents in USA knew of this whole plot,
but there is no clear evidence. After she left, her family never
contacted me or issued an appology, so the whole plot was in the
works...

visa, but I never had imagined such a nightmare, like mine, to happen.

Thank you for your advice...

Whya are you asking us to suppose what her plot or motives were? Seems you're perfectly capable of making that stuff up yourself.
