Hello everyone, I had been asking so many questions about the affadavit because I missed
the minimum requirement by $122!! So I needed a co-sponsor. BUT.....I just got another W-2
in the mail from Orange Unified School District because I substituted for them one day
during a strike they had (yes I was a scab) and it paid $250!! So I made it!! Last year I
was in school so I only worked part-time but I graduated this month!! Yeah!! So I know I
will make the requirement again by the time our AOS interview rolls around (you have to
prove income at the time of approval again) because by then my soon to be husband (less
than a week) will be working and together we will make the requirement!! Thanks for all of
your help!!

Whoa! I am wondering if you got paid more because you were a SCAB? Substitute and even
regular teachers here only get about $50 a day. Somehow you got 5 times the prevailing
wage. Where do you live, I may come substitute there. At that rate, I would only need to
work two days a week, instead of 10 days for the same money here. Are the kids in Florida
better behaved or something? I doubt it. At that rate, you leave us wondering how you
were under the poverty level. Considering that in 11 weeks of work you could have beat
the limit.
Anyway, congrats on your newfound income. May you continue to have luck such as this and
such as getting paid so much.

Jonathon, Yes it was because I was a SCAB. They had all of their teachers on strike so
they needed people very badly. It was Orange Unified in Southern CA. Normally the wage for
substitute teacher is $105 a day which is still more than $50 a day. I was under the
requirement because i only subbed like once a week (due to school).
