OK, so if his "last possible day" is 19 April then he definitely needs to pull his finger out and get a flight out of the US in the next 10 days.
I’m not sure, but I think an I-539 extension of stay application can be filed on line. Something to check out b

I'm in good health, for my age. I am retired, so not receiving any wages. Basic UK State Pension, + Standard Life Monthly Annuity. Had a PIP, but I think that will be worthless with the Markets crashing. I do NOT want to live in the USA, winters here is as long as I want. Don't think the IRS would get much if they investigated my finances.
Am holding for BA as I type this, to see if they can get me ANY flight home. Think it would have to be an AA flight though.

Expedia still have flights with AA up until end of month from Miami to Heathrow at low prices by the looks of it.

Have you looked at these?

Why wait on line with BA?

Latest update. Got a sweet girl on BA helpline this evening. After a LOT of searching she has me booked to fly on 17th April, Orlando to Miami, then Miami to Heathrow arriving on 18th. Unfortunately she couldn't get me a flight to Glasgow on 18th, but if I lay over until 19th, she can. I'll settle for getting to Heathrow, and catch the Train home. I realise it's cutting it VERY neat, and she did say there was no guarantee that these AA flights wouldn't be cancelled. Fingers crossed.
