Hey guys

I have a few questions and i would appreciate if you could help me I am a french
citizen here in the US under a M1 visa and applied for an employment authorization
document which was approved by the INS this summer but the I-94 card that i have in
my passport is going to expire next week,my visa and my employment authorization card
expire both in a few months and i would like to know what i am suposed to do..Do i
need to do something about it or it will be ok since my 2 other documents expire
later on? i heard that the I-94 is the document that matters the most..I live in
Texas, should i go to the INS office in Dallas and talk to someone so i can get an
extension?if so do i need to bring any special documents?(like a letter from my
school). Also there is more than a month difference between the beginning date on my
EAD and the time i actually got my card so i havent been able to work during that
time, can they also extend the expiration date on my EAD? My I 94 expires next week,i
have been trying to call the INS but its always busy and now with the problems in NY
and DC the office might be closed for a while..i dont think its the right time to
fall out of status. If you have an idea of what i should do please let me know...i
would really appreciate it. You can email me :[email protected]

If your I-94 said "D/S" and you had a valid EAD and I-20, you would be O.K. However,
from what you said I gather that your I-94 has a "date certain" as the expiration
date rather than "D/S."

I live in Texas, should i go to the INS
