Hi everyone,

Quick question: I just realized that my I-551 stamp expires exactly one year after my
husband and I went to our AOS interview (12/20/01). What happens if I don't receive
the actual Card before then??? Isn't there a 2 year conditional period after the AOS
interview? Why only the 1 year stamp??

Anyone ?

Thanks, Julie

You usually get the card before one year passes. If for some reason you do not, go
back to the INS office and get another stamp for another year. Ask about the card
when you go. However, you will probably get it before having to go there for
another stamp.
