I-485 pending! Is Min 8 mths added, 'cause of the Sec Bill??

Hi

I learnt from my lawyer today that on account of the signing of the new
security Bill by the Prez... a minimum processing time of 8 mths have
been added to all pending AOS.. Is this true?? My I-485 been filed
over a year now at the CSC..

Any similar feedbacks of similar cases?? Let exchange notes ..

well, i filed my AOS in July (July 7th this year) and got interview letter for 17 Oct, 2002 (same year) i went to the interview every thing was fine but medical examination was not complete so they said that i have to complete it and send it back to them i did so but didnt hear anything from them, thus i visit INS office recently to know about my case the lady said every thing is fine but due to we are busy :P you should wait a little bit more , and will recieve a letter for a stamp in passport.
