How long for EB2 process

How long for EB2 process
Hi
Can someone give me a rough idea as to how long the EB2 visa process is likely to take?
I'm a UK citizen with masters + experience which has already been verified by an accreditation agency in the US. My prospective employer is paying for premium processing for which ever parts of the process that is applicable to and the job will be advertised in the US over the next couple of weeks.
As far as I understand it the process is
Labor certification
I-140
NVC paperwork to London
Medicals, police reports and interview
Would appreciate your comments
Thanks

Labor certification can take between one day and several months. Even longer
in some cases.
Since you're employer is willing to pay for premium processing, the I-140
stage will only take a maximum of 15 days.
After this, consular processing is only a matter of weeks, but it can be
initiated only if a visa is available in the EB-2 category you're in. See
http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bu...etin_3219.html.
Currently your category is "Current", but there's no guarantee it will
remain that way, unfortunately.

Re: How long for EB2 process
Well the LC completed in a record 3 days but that leave me waiting for the I-140 which was filed a few days ago
Now that premium processing has gone does anyone have an idea how long the I-140 might take ? Job is in California
Hopefully the EB2 will be back on Oct 1st but I guess its unlikely the I-140 will be finished by then
Or does anyone have some idea of when premium processing might be back ?
Thanks

Re: How long for EB2 process
With all the unknowns going on now with the visa numbers and processing times I'm starting to feel that it just isn't worth waiting for . With the emphasis on family based immigration rather than allowing professional ,skilled people to enter the country I get the feeling that America doesn't want me
Is the country shooting its self in the foot ( they seem to shoot most things ) and will other people start giving up ?
American companies seem to be crying out for skilled professionals that they can't find at home, would'nt these people benefit the economy and give it the boost it needs?
I have a job offer from another country in Asia where I can just go and start working with minimal formality...I'm thinking about saying goodbye the the job offer I have in the states
Sorry, I guess I'm just having a fed up , frustrated rant
+ no one replied to my last post

Re: How long for EB2 process
The process is indeed frustrating and you are looking for logical answers where there is little logic. Nor is there much compassion for the emotional hardship we all suffer during the process.
But America is not really all that different from other places.. Just read Weber on governents and organizations...Don't be discouraged just roll with the punches and do it straight and honest.
I promise you ... when you get here you will really see your frustration levels rising as you encounter the goverment in all its glory so just look at this as a practice.
Over all it is worth the frustration. If you want to maximize your potential then the USA is the place to find that opportunity.
Hang in there
