Default Hi Al, need help!

I am in H1B visa and my wife is in H4, my first three year period over in 2006. My company renewed the second three year, so we went to the US consulate in Ottawa to get the visa stamped on our passport. It was a very straight forward procedure, after the interview we were told to collect our passport next day at 3.00PM.

After we collected our passport we just went over it at that moment but we didn’t realize that my wife’s visa was typed as H1B instead of H4. Unfortunately we noticed that mistake after we came back to US. Does any one has same kind of bad experience, need suggestion/advice to get correct visa.

What does your employer's lawyer - the one who handled your H1b paperwork - suggest?

I suppose you could also make an Infopass appointment.

Make an appointment to speak to an immigration officer at your local CIS. You can do it via the uscis website.
