I was wondering if someone could give me some answers to the following:
- I was born in Canada and ahve lived here all my life
- I have a job offer in the US
- The job is as a research assistant to a grad student working on their thesis
- I am 1 year away from a bachelors degree that relates to teh work that I will be
doing,and i have a few years experience
- the position is temporary lasting only from mid May- August
- Do i need a visa,if so what type,how long should it take,how do I go about
getting it.

any info would be greatly appreciated.Could someone please reply to this newsgroup

Do you read replies to this group, or do you just post blindly ?

You've already had a pointer given twice.

But I'll simplify this for you if you like ...

No degree, no visa, unless you can arrange it as a school exchange project. Contact
the school international students office and see if they have any ideas.
