Hi,

I have two questions,

1) Does anyone have an estimate of when the H1-B visa cap will be hit this year?

2) My H1-B application is currently pending, so far it has taken much longer than the
30-60 days quoted by the CSC. Is a visa allocation reserved when they receive an
application, or once they give approval, or does it only count once I get my
passport stamped at the consulate. Basically I want to know if I'm still going to
be hit by the cap even though I have an application in process.

Hi, Once you have the notice of receipt you are OK. It will be processed within the
cap and I really doubt the cap will be reached any time soon.
