H1 B petition filing with or without attorney?
Hi,
I have found an employer who is ready to sponsor an H1 B visa.
If the employer files the petition on his own without an attorney, will
there be any disadvantages or problems of processing at the USCIS?
If an attorney files for the employer, does the employer have to do
anything more?

Not as long as it's a straightforward case and they get it right.

USCIS published a statistic a few years ago that indicated a vastly
higher rejection rate of self-filed petitions than of lawyer-filed
petitions, mostly because lawyers hopefully know what they are doing. I
can confirm that from my own experience. It took me three tries before I
got my self-filed H-1B right. That was in the age when the fee was $90
or so each time. With today's fees in the thousands of $$$, a single
mistake can be more costly than lawyer's fees.
