Greencard question
I am currently on my 6th year H1-B. Labor certification was filed july
2002. Now that i have a baby, i was thinking of being with him. Can a green
card process continue even if you change your status to H4(if the employer
agrees)????

Re: Greencard question
Maternity leave should be OK, as long as you genuinely plan on returning
to work. H-1B allows it (you shouldn't change to H-4, else it may suggest
that you actually gave up that job), and the GC process is for a future
job. If you are on maternity leave - rather than having resigned - it is
pretty obvious that you will return to the job. So I wouldn't expect a
problem there (although it may be wise to consult with an attorney, just
in case).
