ID card for Fingerprinting,EAD/AP pickup
Hi everyone,
My husband is applying for AOS in SF. He received a notice of receipt for
fingerprinting and EAD/AP pickup just yesterday. *YEH*
My question is: Can he use an unexpired non-California state ID for
fingerprinting, EAD/AP?
Situation:
1. Fingerprinting is at Oakland ASC and EAD/AP is at SF office and both are
less than 2 weeks away.
2. My husband sent his passport for H1-B visa revalidation to St. Louis and
has not gotten it back. He probably won't get his passport back until
mid-Nov.
3. He doesn't have a California ID/Driver's license (he doesn't know how to
drive). We don't think he will be able to get an ID card in hand even if he
tries to get a California ID right now. Here in California, they seem to
only mail the ID/Driver's license card to home address, based on my
experience.
4. He has an unexpired New York state ID which he got while in school.
Other than that, he has no other ID. (He did send a change of address form
when we moved to California.)
Thanks a lot,
