Default going for TN1 in a few days...what sort of questions ?

I am going for a TN1 and TD for my wife and son. I live in Toronto, so
planning to go to one of the buffalo ones or 1000 island bridge.

1 . Is any one those bridges better than the other for TN1 ?

2. What sort of questions should I expect ?

3. Will i have to list out the things I will be taking along with me ?

I am not planning to move on the same day. I am planning to get the
visa and return to canada the same day and then move few days later.

Thanks

Roger

This is based on my previous experiences.

1-1000 island bridge is less crowded and processing time is faster.
2-Most of the questions will be about the kind of work you'll be doing
and your qualifications. Having all your passports and documents (job
offer, HR letter to the USCIS, original degree(s), and good idea to
make copies) with you should speed up the process.
3 - There will be no questions about your things.

You should keep in mind TN visa is for 1 year temporary stay. You
SHOULD never give the impression that you're planning to stay in the US
for more than one year which is the length of the TN visa.

Good luck.

thanks Ben..i really appreciate it. Got two more questions :

My wife is not a canadian citizen, she is only a Canadian PR.
Currently the wait time in US embassy, Toronto is more than 2 months.

1. Is there anyway that the immigration at the border can issue her a
TD along with my TN.

She currently has 5 yr B1 visa stamped on her passport and has a I 94
valid till Oct 2006.

2. Can she stay with me on B1 I-94 until I get an interview
appointment with US embassy ?

My son is Can. citizen. Planning to get his TD at the same time as my
wife.

Thanks

Roger
