Getting a Green Card for Mother-In-Law?
My friend who also married to an overseas lady wanted to know the procedures for bringing over his mother-in-law.
He is about to file for his wifes 10 year green card.
There mother-in-law has visted them in the past. (2x). The last time the border guy told her she should apply for a green card. They want to bring her over to help out with their son who has a medical condition.
Thanks for any input.

2. Bringing her over to help out with caring for the grandson can be considered "work" in the eyes of the POE officers. She should never say this is why she's coming to the USA on her visitor's visa or VWP.

Totally OT -- Your timeline mentions "Ho Chih Minh City" -- this strikes this person pushing 60 as somewhat being inconsistent with the RVN flag in you avatar. Of course, the international code for Tan Son Nhant Airport is still "SGN."
No political comment intended, its just that the RVN flag brings back certain memories.

I figured I would hang that flag on my Avatar, If I hung my wife's I would probably attract problems. LOL. Then people would think I hate my country. LOL We know how our society is these days. Yellow and red flag is more of a combination flag of US and VN. (neutral).
But anyways its my friend who wanted me to ask this question. But yes his wife is also from Vietnam. Yep SGN is still the airport code.
Also thanks everyone for the replies.
