Gap in employment during GC process

Hi,

I am working for Company X, which is applying for my GC. Before working for X, I used
to work for A. However, there is a gap of about 14 days between the time I quit A and
started work for X. My H-1B for X was already approved when I quit A (I had not used
the portability provisions).

My question is: is this gap going to cause a problem? The company attorney has asked
me to explain this gap.

My idea is that since I was throughout in-status, this should not be a problem. I had
quit company A and gone on vacation (my passport can prove that). When I came back, I
got a new I-94 based on the new company's H-1B. The gap is there because after
entering, I still had 14 days before I was scheduled to start work at the new
company. So, is this a problem? Any solutions?
