Arnaldo got his 10-year green card in the mail today...he is a very happy man!
Timeline:
1/98: filed K-1 visa petition.
1/99: Arnaldo enters US on K-1 visa
1/99/1: we married
1/100: AOs interview (expedited due to aging out K-2)
1/101: filed I-751 for removal of conditions
1/102: notified of removal of conditions interview (unusual)
1/103: had interview, passed
1/103/1: 10-year green card in mail
During this time, I saw this group form. I saw the creation of many k-1 pages and
immigration help pages which did not exist previously. It has been a marvelous trip.
I think I will hang around here for a while longer ; )

Alvena: Such wonderful news!! At last, you are at the end of the road. A few more
months, and Arnaldo can apply for citizenship. What about Paulo? Hasn't the INS
decided what they are going to do?? Alvena, I hope you will be around to see the rest
of us home!!! And all the newbie's who depend on you so much. What would this
newsgroup be without you. With warmest regards, Ken & Ranjini

Alvena, I have read many of your remarks, and appreciated your previous site much as
I started to undertake this K-1 process last year. Though I've never received direct
help from you, I can easily say (from all of us) that you have been a great source of
inspiration and respectable knowledge in this forum, and others. We all owe you and
Arnaldo a great debt of gratitude. Thank you so much and congratulations! I will miss
the newsletters...

Actually, we have not yet heard from them regarding Paulo's "errant" 10-year green
card. However, since we did get Arnaldo's card, I am inclined at this point to give
them another month or two and see if we hear anything. If we do not, then I will
write the Louisville office about this. Paulo still has the original 10-year card
that this issued, and it's funny because his card expires before arnaldo's...his is
good until 2009, Arnaldo's is good until 2011.

yes, TSC has slowed. We received the approval notice for the I-129F petition in just
about 30 days from the date of the notice of receipt.

Congratulations Alvena or should I say Arnaldo..... just an question, back in 1998 it
only took 4 months from filing to Arnaldo entering the country, that was through TSC
right?? If so things have certainly slowed down somewhat!
