Filed I-129F with NSC June 25, will I make it?

Hi all,
This looks like a great newsgroup that creates a supportive environment for everyone.
Glad to find it.
So, I filed my I-129F on June 25 with the NSC. I have a December wedding in the
works. Think I'll make it? She's in South Korea and I think that consulate turns
things around fast. I tried to follow all of the tips from the www.k1faq.com site to
speed the process.
I'm very worried about the NSC approval time and the length of time that it takes to
send the approved petition to the embassy.
Any words of advice or support?
Thanks!
-Joseph

See this search on google, it may make you feel more optimistic: http://groups.googl-

If previous reports are any indication of an expectant trend for your petition, Seoul
might have the approval in 2 weeks or less. Also, previously Seoul sent out packet #3
very quickly. Read the posts, you may glean some other help there. Bear in mind,
there is US military stationed there, and so approved petition goes from US to Seoul
quickly in that case, as they use APO address for military mail. Much faster than the
legendary diplomatic pouch (AKA camel train) delivery.

My timeline with NSC is as follows
Oct 3rd 2000 sent petition in Oct 4th 2000 petition signed for Oct 17th date on first
NOA Feb 6th 2001 petiton approved Feb 14th recieved 2nd NOA in mail Feb 16th NSC
claims they sent approved papers to China Guangzhou Consulate finally received papers
on June 14 think they said. Interview date set for Aug 7 2001
So if anything I have found out not to plan for anything intill you get a inteview
date set, remmber she has up to 6 months after the visa is issued to enter the US and
you have another 90days not 3 months to get married and file AOS.
hope this gives you a idea of what may happen

This is great news. Thanks. Looks like because of the big military presence in South
Korea, the time it takes from NSC to Seoul is pretty short. Now I just hope NSC isn't
as slow as I heard....
