Experience with delayed gc removal of conditions after divorce?
One of my friend's secretary was up for removal of conditions on her
green card when she and her husband decided upon divorce. The final
approval did not come until a couple of months after the green card
expiration. As soon as it did come, she filed an I-751 with an
explanation of the situations.
Anyone have some experience with this kind of situation and any
recommendations for immigration attorneys with that experience in
Northern California?
Thanks in advance

Sorry, I didn't tell it well. The green card expired before she could
file the form so her status gets referred to the USCIS as terminated,
leading, with no other action, to deportation. There is a condition on
the I-751 form which allows for a divorced person to file but not until
the divorce is final. She was told that it is possible to have the
USCIS or immigration court to consider these conditions. I don't know
in detail the process. I hope this is explanitory.
Thank you for your comment.

Thanks, but I actually did understand what you wrote. The I-751 clearly states that it's okay to file late due to circumstances beyond your control... which includes, although it doesn't specifically mention it, the date a divorce becomes final - something that is certainly beyond the control of most people. So, this is likely a non-issue.
