EAD processing time in Philly (Philadelphia)

Just thought I would return the favor and post my experience with the Phil
INS office :
Aug 28th 2001 - Filed for EAD and adj of status Sep 11th 2001 - No explanation needed
Nov 15th 2001 - Received letter of approval of EAD Nov 21st 2001 - Picked up EAD
(Term of 1 yr) Nov 22nd 2001 - Will feast
Still waiting for finger printing and interview dates
It takes about 15-20 minutes standing in line to enter the building (thorough
security checks). Then anywhere from 1-2 hrs waiting before you see an INS officer
for 10-15 minutes. Bring a good (long) book., you can only read your passport from
end to end so many times
Waiting room is a good observation center for psychology
and sociology students.
