Default E-Filing I-765 - where will the EAD card come from? (Matt Udall you may know this the answer to this

Hi all,

I took the plunge and E-filed my renewal of I-765 EAD (based on AOS
from marriage to USC.)

Normally I would file in person or by mail to New York BCIS with its
usual 120-150 day wait time. Instead, I e-filed on 7th July, phoned up
the NCSC (formerly MSC) and made an appointment for the biometrics,
amazingly enough, for the very next day, 8th July. Went to my
appointment and about a week later I got an NOA from the NCSC stating
my case will be adjudicated within approximately 80 days.

Now my question is, have I actually managed to bypass the Kafkaesque
nightmare that is NY BCIS, i.e. will the NCSC mail me my new EAD card
- or should I be expecting an appointment letter to attend NY BCIS to
pick up the card?

Thanks for any thoughts on this,

Marco

I'm considering using e-filing for my EAD renewal too, so this a thread bump so that we can get some feedback on this process, if anyone has used it.
Anything to avoid the queues at NYC Fed. Plaza again.

Where do you go to if you have e-filed your EAD based on AOS from K-1 visa and you have not received it within 90 days?
Normally I would drive to Charlotte and demand it from them on the 91st day - starting to wish I hadn't bothered with this new e-filing stuff.....
