dual citizenship
Question...is it still correct that if a U.S. citizen acquires a citizenship of another country such as Canada, he or she will not lose U.S. citizenship unless they intend to abandon it. I seem to recall this having been discussed on this forum in the past, but I cannot seem to find the threads.

See Advice about Possible Loss of U.S. Citizenship and Dual Nationality for details.

You cannot abandon US Citizenship. It must be formally renounced before the proper authorities.
