Diploma evaluation - does it matter who I use?
Hi All,
I'm in the process of applying for an EB2 NIW. As part of this my lawyers have suggested I need to get an independent evaluation of my UK degree to determine its US-equivalent level of qualification.
Does anyone know if there is any difference other than cost and expediency between the rag-tag pile of companies and "non-profits" offering to perform this service?
Particularly, I have a 4 year undergraduate masters degree (MEng) from a internationally prestigious institution but I've heard this is likely to translate to a Bachelors here. It would certainly be useful it were more grandiosely recognised.
Thanks,
Jakov

I used ECE to assess my UK transcripts for a US college application (they were one of the college's approved agencies). To be honest they weren't that rigorous - so although your MEng may well be worth more than a standard US bachelors (and I can well believe that would be the case given that my bachelors has consisted mainly of multiple choice and one sentence answers to assignments!), their documentation may not reflect that.
