Citizenship Timeline
Howdy!
I have had a green card for almost 5 years and was told that it is
possible to apply for the citizenship before the 5 years period.
Something like 6 months before the 5 years "deadline".
Anyone had any experience with this process? Is it really possible
to do that and does it differ from the standard process?
My green card was paid by my employer using a lawyer. Is the
citizenship something that also should be done through a lawyer or can
be done directly by the applicant?
Thanks much in advance.

Its 90 days before the 5 yrs. You can do it all yourself.
I did mine last yr. But im married to a USC so mine was 90 days before my 3 years.
Dont send paperwork in earlier than that.
Good luck and welcome to BE.
