CIMT and application for a B2 visa
Hi - hopefully there is someone out there who can offer some advice and encouragement!
Four years ago I plead guilty to Benefit Fraud, was given a conditional discharge for 18 months and ordered to pay costs, I was working for the Police as a civilian; they already knew and were awaiting the outcome before they decided to act, they suspended me for one week and then offered me a final written warning on my record also for 18 months which I accepted.
I have now left the police; unconnected to the above, I have married, my financial situation is 100% improved & I am a partner in my husband's manufacturing business. We plan to take a cruise round the caribbean on the 27/12/07, due to the above I need a B2, we will be in Fort Lauderdale for appx 20 hours; overnight stay at hotel, when we then go to the port to get on the ship and then on our return we will again be in Miami for appx 7 hours.
We own our own house, plus the business & the factory, our bank account is healthy, I am obtaining a reference from the police in relation to my good character and work record and we are currently undergoing fertility treatment & we have consultation letters to prove it, is a visa approval out of the question ??
I appreciate that no one can answer my question, but has anyone else any similar circumstances/experiences??
Thanks

More information is needed... Where are you originating from (flying
from), what is your citizenship?
Can you not take a cruise that originates in Mexico? There's no
guarantee of you getting a visa by a specific date, processing times
vary widely. Due to your conviction, you are ineligible for the VWP,
but if you're Canadian, your situation is different. That's why I
ask...
with more information, you might be able to get a better response.

It would be amazing if you found someone with a similar enough
background to be relevant, and even then there's no reason to believe
that two applicants with similar situations would be dealt with in the
same way. I'd get the application in as soon as you can; it's the only
way to find out.
