Default Change of Address - Mid Application - I130 London

Hi

We have an I130 being processed in London which should be processed in the next week or so. Unfortunately we are having to move house and I'm worried that the notice of approval will not arrive before we move in ten days time.

Has anyone had a similar experience and how did they deal with it?

Thanks for any help.

All I know is it must be done in writing.

If you have a moving date and are definitely moving, I'd use the Post Office's mail redirection service (quite cheap) which should just redirect your snail mail to your new address.

That seems a lot less hassle than dealing with USCIS!

As BritishGuy says, use the P.O's mail redirection service. After you receive your NOA you may want to write to the Embassy and request a change of address.

But if you wrote to them now it might somehow delay you receiving your NOA. I could see some silly government employee about to send out a NOA, receiving your change of address request and then taking a few days or week to amend the NOA and envelope!
