Default Certified passport

Hello, I need to get a certified copy of my passport. Just been to my bank (Chase) and they told me they don't provide this service. From some internet research I understand that notaries in IL can't certify either.
Can anyone tell me a cheap way to get this done?
Many Thanks.

IL is one of those States that doesn't allow a notary to certify copies of documents. Not sure there will be a cheap way as all I can think off in those circumstances is can a lawyer do it.

From what I understood they said that Chase in general didn't perform this service. Just to be 100% I'll check if I'm passing by.
Thanks for the replies.

A bank here in town does it, IF you have any sort of account with them. I found a notary at the town hall as well.

chartreuse is an unknown quantity at this point

How far are you from a state line? Might it be cheaper and easier to just drive to a neighbouring state where notaries are allowed to certify copies?
