Question Can I pay for my own L1a visa??

Morning folks

My company has withdrawn my offer for the US and given me a payout

I have some potential offers with other companies, if they are willing to sponsor but not pay can I pay myself or do they have to pay?

My other company was huge and very experienced!

Is there another visa i can get to work in US other than L1? for myself and spouse (to work) and children to reside

any advice much appreciated as things have gone very wrong just now!!

if i do have to pay how much are average costs, this will also help me know what employer has to pay

If the L1 was withdrawn I'm afraid that is now a no go. The sponsoring company not only have to pay for it, they have to do the application and legal paperwork it entails.

There is the H1 visa, however your other half will not be able to work. Again this visa is all done from the employers side, application and fees. The initial $$$$ payout is not from your wallet.

Dont forget that to be elligable for an L1 you have to (amoung other things) be working for the sponsering country outside of the US for at least a year.

Unfortunatly you are now down to finding employment with another of these companies and them sponsering an H1, which as said above they have to pay for.

The derivative of an H1 is an H4- you cannot work on an H4.

Not the spouse can never work. H-4 is not eligible for employment authorization, but they can certainly find a job and get their own H-1B.

Or if the company will sponsor you for a green card (can possibly take a very long time to acquire depending on your EB classification), all your family will get green cards and they can then work at any job that they chose.
