Hey Maryanne Kehoe thanks for saying his name was DCMark not DCMarck!!!! If I get banned........
You did nothing but ban him from Britishexpats anyway. He can still post via the usenet.

The problem is DCMarck was the sender. NOT DCMark. DCMarck is a spoof on a regular poster who the troll is also stalking. I'm sure they banned DCMarck and not DCMark. This is the kind of destructive nonsense that this troll is notorious for.

DC Marck, under that name, has under 10 posts to his name on expats. I have been banning left, right and center, as the saying goes, the many personalities of the resident troll.
Since you are a Usenet poster, I ask in the future that you either killfile the names that you don't wish to see posts from if you are using your newserver or just don't read them at all.
The Administrator, as well as the Moderators, have the ability to ban the poster in question, we cannot, however, ban the ISP.
If you wish to lodge a complaint on expats about a poster, please be sure you type the correct name. DCMark is not a problem, whereas DCMarck was.
Mark, if any problems arise with your membership on expats, send me a PM and we will have you restored.

Rete, will all due respect, I see your point. But the post from DC Marck
came from BritishExpats. I pulled the full headers.
How do *we* know that some people from BCIS *don't* read this board? We
don't. So accusing someone of having AIDS and being a hooker is serious
business. *I* take it seriously. You should too.
It's easy to say killfile the person. Unfortunately, we don't have that
option with my ISP. IGNORNING THE PROBLEM WILL NOT MAKE IT GO AWAY.
Sometimes it is better to take "the bull by the horns" and step up to
the plate and take charge----when someone else won't.
That really ticks me off when someone suggestes to "just ignore
it"----NOT when someone is smearing my good reputation I won't!!!

Do you expect that BCIS would take such ranting seriously?
If they had Aids, it would show up in the medical.

Re: BritishExpats responds to my complaint---yea!!
And you have not looked at the "whole" picture. If you have been around here for the last month than you know that the trolls are all the same people. Ban them from expats and they get a new non-ISP email account from hotmail or yahoo and sign up with a new name. The name calling starts all over again. So you have to ban them under the new name and then they sign up under a new email account and it starts all over again. There is no end.
As for your opinion that BCIS reads the newsgroups, I rather doubt that they would take anything written here in such a manner as gospel. If they are savvy enough to find us and read us, then they are sophiscated enough to know what a troll is and how they operate.
What you are also missing is that I can delete their posts on expats but they remain on the Usenet for life. I can ban them from expats but they can register with google or their ISP's newserver.
You complaint was valid but view the entire picture, not just the still frame in front of you.

Re: BritishExpats responds to my complaint---yea!!
If you want a bull fight, contact the troll's ISP and lodge a formal complaint. That is how you fight a bull. Not complaining and banning them from a forum.
As for taking it serious, I do. I'm the one banning all the nicks over the last four or six weeks. I'm the one deleting the posts from expats. But as I said previously, I can't delete once it hits the Usenet. It is there for life.

Mark, if any problems arise with your membership on expats, send me a PM and we will have you restored.

What I don't understand is why there are trolls on a forum like this in the first place. If it were say a music forum or something I would understand, but a immigrant forum?? Sorry, but that's just really sad to me!
And do you really think any BCIS people read a forum such a this? I hope they have better things to do with their time than search for forums where people help one another with their immigration - such as move my forms along faster perhaps! And even if they did, do you think they could ever connect your screen name with your paper file?

Thank you Rete! It just isn't me that DC Marck is giving headaches.
As to BCIS having the time to read the forum, I don't take *anything*
for granted, especially in these challenging times for immigration and
for us trying to get our spouses into the country legally!
You provide a valued service and I have garnered info here that I did
not get from the BCIS site.
Mr. Travel with all due respect, it isn't ranting.....it's protecting MY
interests until Ken walks thru that door!
We are all in this crazy process together, we are supporting each other
and that support should extend to someone that is the target of a
unwarranted attack.

It is a common misconception that all speech is free. It isn’t.

If you really want to protect your interests why in the world would you post your REAL name and home town on the Internet, especially when it can be traced back to your case? Now anyone can find your address. That is not bright.
You haven't taken a stand by reporting this person to britishexpats. That means nothing, except that they can no longer use THAT particular account for mischeif. What he said about you is on the usenet already.
