Default Aw... shoot. short of one original for my Nat. interview tomorrow.

Am I screwed? For my N-400 application I needed the death certificate of my first wife. I had to get a friend in the UK go and get a copy from the Register Office as I could not find it here. Must have got mislaid in the moving process.

Anyway, he emailed me a pdf and for some reason didn't think to mail me the original. I forgot all about it until today when I was putting together all the stuff for tomorrow's interview.

Is not having this document going to be a major problem? I'm guessing that even Fed-Ex can't get it here in time.

Alex,
I just checked with the DH because that was a document in his application too. He was not asked to show originals at his interview (had them with). Remember that that fact has been vetted several times already (visa app, AOS etc).

Besides, what can you do?
Take the pdf with you, and if it becomes an issue, the officer will instruct you to present the original later, when you get it, if they have to have to have it.

Have a GREAT interview!

OH also did not take the death certificate of his first wife to the naturalization interview. You should be okay. The DC should be in your file.

As predicted, I wasn't asked to show anything apart from my passport, green card and driving license.

I'll add my account of how the day went in the appropriate thread.
