Hi,
I've got a friend whose boyfriend is a Brazilian man from Lebanese descent. Although
he's catholic, his name "sounds" muslim. He is a businessman who was scheduled to
attend a textile fair in New York in October. Their concern is that he may not be
allowed in, as a result of strict security measures at US airports.
I had originally advised them that he should apply for a new visa, regardless of the
expiration of his current one. I thought that would demonstrate to authorities at
port of entry that he had been successfully screened at the Brazilian consulate AFTER
the terrorist attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon. But later, I asked myself whether
or not this would be an overreaction to this whole situation. Any comments??

If he s mind is clear and he can pass a background check, i don t see why they would
let him come in. Don t wait the last minute to get the visa though!!!
