Filed I-485 (AOS) and I-765 (EAD) today at the Orlando INS office. Opening times are
8a.m. till 1p.m. Personal advice: get there bloody early! I arrived at 07:40, line
was already 150 bodies long. Got through the door at
09:20-ish, got a ticket and waited. And then waited some more. Got seen at
09:1. I'd quadruple-checked all the copies of original documents, but was glad I had
all the originals with me as they wanted a copy of my wife's (USC) proof of
citizenship (gave them copy of her birth cert.). Filled in a Tax form that
didn't come with the AOS packet, and that was that - took 10 minutes.

Was advised of the following, for the Orlando INS office: AOS processing time:
"approximately 18 months" EAD processing time: "within 90 days" Straight from the INS
handbook then........

Here's our timeline so far:
- 129F filed 04-OCT-00
- 1st NOA 13-OCT-00
- 2nd NOA 08-JAN-01
- K1 interview in London, UK 05-FEB-01
- Married 13-FEB-01
- Filed for AOS & EAD 17-APR-01
