Hi;
My wife just got her fingers print done for the Arlington office (I-485 adjustment).
Does anyone know how long after finger printing the interview will happen?
Any info is appreciated

My co-worker was called for fingerprinting by Arlington three weeks ago and received the
interview letter for a couple of weeks from now. He's put off the interview - his excuse
was his wife wasn't up to it (six months pregnant) but the truth is he wanted to put it
off until after his two year anniversary which is also in a couple of months - so he would
not have conditions attached.
When did you file? It would be useful to know how much they've caught up.
Andy.
P.S. He also got a call for a second fingerprint session but neither of us are clear
whether that was a glitch or whether the first set were "faulty". We think it's a
glitch - he applied in May 1999 and, according to posts last month, Arlington had
done with May 1999 applications. However, he received the receipt letter from them
some six months after filing so we think his application went astray at some point.

My wife and I are in a similar situation. She was called in for fingerprints (arlington
aos) Jan. 24. Our 2 year wedding anniversary is April 29. We're expecting the interview
notice any day now. How hard is it to delay the interview date and do we have any control
over the new date?
thanks, greg

My co-worker just went down to Arlington (early!!!), explained the situation and left. I
didn't have any say in the new interview date - just that it would be a while after the
birth of his child which, will be after the anniversary. If you don't have any such excuse
you'll have to see whether they'll postpone the interview just because you want it after
the 2nd anniversary.
