Address Tip
Here's a tip:
If you are living in an apartment complex that has the likely hood of
getting turned into a condominium, then use another mailing address
(not a PO box). Why? Because the county will likely change your address
to something proper (i.e. the new address will not include apartment
numbers and may have a completely new street name).
I am stating from experience that when a county changes your address
then you will be subject to undeliverable mails for a while. Even the
major shippers (UPS & FEDex) can't find our address even though the US
Postal Service has it listed on their database. USPS Priority mail
packages have also failed to turn up when using our new address for
shipping.
We used our parents' house as our point of contact, but we've included
a note in our applications stating that the mailing address listed was
different from our physical address of residence. We then listed our
actual physical address of residence. I even included a Google map of
it. ;-)
We've received our receipts and correspondence, so far, at my parents'
house.
