485 application with I-94 query

Hello,
I applied for 485/EAD/Parole about a month ago, I had entered the US from San
Francisco, got an I-94 valid until April 2002. Subsequently I got an H1 xfer and now
the new company's I-94 came attached with the I-797 notice. Now when I visited canada
for 2-3 days , upon re-entry to the USA the INS officer kept my old (white) airport
I-94 and said that my I-797 I-94 superceeds it and so did not give me any I94. SO on
the 485 application the lawyer mentioed that my last port of entry was Buffalo from
canada and supplied an explanation that since I had entered from Canada I do not have
an I-94 that corresponds to port of entry. My question is am I ok ? do I expect an
RFE to happen ? Otherwise I always have been in status , got all the
docs/certificates correctly.
