I went for my interview in the london consulate on may 23rd. I was returned my passport with 221 g requesting for more details about my company in the US is their wage statements and contracts with the clients. The consular officer also kept my original I 28 and copies of all my educational records.


Is this normal?
How long will such processing take
How and when can i start contacting the embassy

Hi:

1. If it is called for, it is normal;
2. Once it is completed, you can easily compute how long it takes. Right now, the question is premature and you don't give enough facts to make a determination;
3. When ever you want -- e-mail and telephone. It might make you feel better, but the Consulate might find it annoying.
