Further to my last post I've been lucky and been able to find another role in the same parent company on the blanket L1A I have

( So I was working for a company A owned by holding company B, I am now moving to a similar role in another subsidiary of B, called company C)

The role is so similar that they don't need to even change the filing.

It requires moving from LA to NYC and subletting flat, selling cars, etc etc.

My current firm want me to leave in 1 week now they know I have a new role . I have a new role starting in New York, I'd about a three weeks from now to start this role ( sell cars, find new flat,sell furniture etc ) , the new company is happy to allow me to start then.

JUst want to check, would a one or even two week break between employment make my Visa invalid?

If so, are there any ways around this, say for moving across the country?

I am confused - is your new role in the same company or is it a different company? (eg two different subsidiaries of the same parent company)
