Well what can i add to all the other year or so posts...
not much really
we landed running just over a year ago, had (well at the time) major stress about where we were staying etc as we had been given the wrong address, but it was sorted out in the end
Found a rental within a week and moved in (after stumbling upon the Perth Hills)
Sorted out Bank, medicare, insurances, cars, driving licences etc etc all fairly easily i will add, apart from the alarming amount of money you seem to spend.
Furnished the rental, etc
found a house to buy within 3 months, moved in
Mum came to visit for 2 months
Best friend came to visit for a quick week
oh forgot to mention Alan found work within 1st week of being here too, i started relief work in schools 5 months in, am now permanent
settled into the routine of shopping, work, kids etc
We spend far more time as a family, girls do more sport stuff (both play for local netball teams)
Got a pool in the garden
and
celebrated our year in Oz
with
a holiday to the Gold Coast! (cool)
Met the lovely Moneypen and family
and thats about it so far for the year!
loads of other stuff happened inbetween but been and gone now
it hasn't always been easy, in fact once or twice we've hit rock bottom, but always came back up together and smiling by working it through and giving each other a bit of space
will we stay here????
hummm, can't say definately yet, Alan is still a bit unsettled, we're looking into re-locating else where in Oz in a few years. I have my moments of homesickness (well missing my mum really)
Neither of us Miss the UK but do miss people!
But we are still together, working at it, the sun is shining (well today it is
) and overall ..... all happy!

Have you really been here a year - wow. Didn't realise
I think you're doing great, the downs are hopefully getting shorter.

I hope so too, although the drink helps
no seriously we seemed to have turned a corner now we have had a break to relax and reflect!
(may still come your way in another year or two so watch out Pen!)
