Thanks mate - but to be honest, the business folding was as much down to my own ineptitude as any downswing in economic traffic. The security blanket of a paid job is great - prior to getting my job in Sydney, both the missus and I had been self employed for 15 years. There's a feeling in the pit of your stomach you have all the time when you run your own business over whether or not you're going to be paid enough to meet the mortgage and the bills. And while I don't miss that one little bit, I plan to become self employed once more within a year or so. I can do 95% of the groundwork for the new job now and only hand in my notice once all the i's and t's have been dotted and crossed. Watch this space.

I sympathise mate as I also ran my own consultancy for a while and while the money is bloody fantastic, I've never worked as hard in my life. Even when you're not working, you're networking and like you say the not knowing when the next lot of money is coming in is stressful

Hey Hutch we moved from Mackay to Maitland it was hubbys job that we relocated with and also because we had done all we could in Mackay after 4 years it was abit like what now? i like it much better here so much more to do here but i do miss the weather its freezing here
