Beth, really glad I am not the only one who feels like this about the spider issue! I freaked out the other morning because there was a large spider on the sleeve of my dressing gown which I was wearing at the time:eek: It was big for a UK spider but no comparison to a Huntsman & I do really worry that I won't cope. But I have decided that if it really is ruining things for me once I see the reality, I will go for Cognitive behavioural Therapy in order to get over it!
We need to keep some perspective I think!;):D
I know it's a stupid phobia.......don't really know why I'm frightened of them so much :o It's so bad that when I see a spider I actually grab my throat and almost strangle myself!!! My hubby reckons someone must have put one down my neck as a child, but I can't remember (probably erased that memory from my brain to avoid the shock of remembering!!!) Seriously.....I look mental when I see a spider.....trying to scream but can't make a noise for long as I'm losing air!!! Really have to sort this out before I go to Oz  Glad someone else isn't too keen on them too though :o
just remember there is only so much the agent can do in a depressed market. i gaurantee agents in the uk are better than the corrupt bastards here. recently viewed a million dollar plus property and the guy couldnt even tell what the rates were.

Just saw this post. If you are worried about the cost of running the place (including the council rates), then you cant afford it :)

Pathways and cycle tracks to the schools. The state one is expanding by one year each year - I think they are up to year 9 now. Catholic one is full school life. http://www.civicsandcitizenship.edu....lt.asp?id=9747 http://www.ceo.cairns.catholic.edu.a..._redlynch.html Both recommended. Wannabie's kids go to the state one. It's regarded as a very good area. Only a 10-15 minute drive to the CEC depot I showed you yesterday. I work one block away and do that journey. On the bus route. Ideally situated for short commutes to town, beaches and a lot of attractions. Just to confuse there are Redlynch Grove appartment blocks where Rooksie lives but these are not on the Grove estate. To save you time if you look online ignore anything that refers to Central or Valley estate. is there a regular bus route into CBD from redlynch and is there a late bus at weekends? I know there is a late bus to Northern Beaches at weekends..no idea if they are safe to us mind you! Mind you, we may use taxis back as won't be going out every weekend when there. My meds are at LCU and my case officer says she needs nothing more but them to to be cleared..I have heard of them clearing in a week so fingers crossed! After they clear does someone then have to check all the paperwork from start to finish? my god, how long could that take!! i wish they woudl hurry up as the local Yamaha shop is going to do me a good deal on a nice R1 if is is still there when I get there!! Will also be looking for a nice old, but not knackered, VW Kombi..if anyone sees any advertised. I am missing mine and want to head off to Cape Trib or Tablelands at weekends..or just park up at Port Douglas! I don't suppose there is a place where people who have been backpacking meet and sell them like there is in Sydney. cairns must be a last stop for some in campers, they must meet/advertise them somewhere? Is there a local magazine where stuff like that is advertised (like Auto Trader here)?? Thanks oh mighty knowledgeable! Liz Just getting all stuff together today for jens application so when mine comes through it is all ready to be posted, more certified copies of this and that! She has applied for 3 jobs this week as Queensland Government have said to apply even though PR not through yet!! All to do with Child Protection stuff. She still has offer to do PACE programme to be in Queensland police but is worried about the pay and doesn't want to work shifts anymore..she may get seperate though and if hasn't found anything within 3 months of being there will do it initially...I don't think she wants to do the 4 months training at brisbane either (understandable as she has been in job here for 10 years)!! Hows the weather there now, when does rainy season stop?? I want to visit Green Island or Fitzroy in my first few weeks there, is it a good time visibility wise?? |

the point was that someone selling a million dollar property did not know what the rates were. surely they should know everything anout the place. as it happens they are just over $20000 a year up here in cairns. im sure that many who live in million dollar properties would still struggle to pay those rates.
